The 10th grade students learned several printmaking techniques during this month long unit and combined them to create images that represented how they viewed themselves.

After a series of classes exploring the linocut, silk screen, drypoint, soft varnish and monotype printmaking techniques, the students created two or more finished prints.

Accompanying this lesson was a survey of printmaking in 1800 century Japan, 19th century Europe and 20th century North America.
